The chapter assignments for students who have committed to participate in the ALL SCIENCE CHALLENGE at Dalhousie University on May 2nd will be given out on March 5th.  Bring your lunch and plan to work through the break reading over your material.  Students will also be given letters and permission slips to have signed and returned after the break.

Each student is expected to study this week and have both chapters read before the next meeting after March Break.  In addition to studying outside of the regular school day, students on the STEM NS ALL SCIENCE CHALLENGE TEAMS will meet every Monday at 11:30 in Mrs. Hobin's room.

Gen and Jocelyn are finding some great music for our videos. Lets just say there
was a lot of effort put in our work today!!!  Patrick, Blake, and Adam are working on developing a marketing plan for the new LEGO Club and there are two teams working on the Reel Science Film Competition.  The deadline for that contest is March 1st...yikes!! Time is running out.

Hey  guys,

Frankie – Do  you hate working with pencil and paper? Would you rather use an iPad?  Think about that!  If you
donate money to STEM NS, even as little as $5.00 per person, we could bring more iPads and robots to our
school.  But, if you bring more – we could buy even more robots and iPads.
You might be thinking, “WHO CARE ABOUT IT?”   Essay…boom, done in 10 minutes times the speed with an
iPad.

Batool – Tired of the same routine over and over again? Well, that can end soon if we work  together to raise enough money.  New technology of today can help us learn better.  It’s a shame to not be able to use the new technology of today in school because it can be very helpful…today and tomorrow.

Bradley – Are  you guys sick of normal school work?  What if there was a way to make school work ten times more fun than it is  now?  Remember, if we all donate a small amount of money we can make this dream come  true!

Leela – Does  your hand ever get hurt from writing?  I know mine does, and I totally hate it.  I’ll admit that I learn more from  computers and things like that.  Having to sit there and listen to the teacher explain.   I mean, that’s sometimes hard for me ato actually get much in my head so iPads and robots could really help.   And there might be more people like me in our school!

Frankie
– And remember, on February 29th we are having our first annual UNPLUGGED  DAY!  From sun up to sun down we
will go without technology and all pledges collected will go to STEM NS.  Get PUMPED!

All - iPads
and Robots!
